Notes

…Imagine the silence, only the instruments are glistening in the darkness. Then the sweetest sound of violins and cellos swells into the full orchestra and rushing power of beat pumping adrenaline through the veins and endorphins through the brain: Beethoven vs. Vivaldi! Violins vs. Synthesizers!.. Performed live by UltraMax and Penn State Innovation Orchestra, captured in crisp 5.1 surround sound.

If you like Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) you will LOVE this DVD!

On January 26th, 2008 UltraMax & Penn State Innovation Orchestra, creative crew of 40 musicians, performed your favorite classics: Bach, Beethoven, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Ravel, and Vivaldi... remixed to a techno groove! With over 1,000 people attending the Eisenhower Auditorium at Penn State's University Park Campus was seemingly not big enough to fit in all the wanting: hundreds of less fortunate patrons were freezing in the frigid January's air trying to get for half an hour, well into the show... The ticket offices could not sell tickets fast enough due to unprecedented demand! My dream came true: both old an young enjoyed techno and classical music together, and the orchestral performance was finally brought into the 21st century.

The concert was a huge success culminating with "I'm Attracted to You" that was followed by an unending ovation.

Now this amazing performance is available on DVD captured in crisp surround sound using 8 cameras and a ton of sophisticated recording equipment. Stereo is so yesterday... Experience the Fusion of Classical and Techno Music FOR REAL in your 6 or 8-channel home theatre system!

Reviews

Brought to you by Max Fomitchev, "TechnoClassica", is the outstanding DVD capturing UltraMax Music and The Penn State Innovation Orchestra's live fusion of Classical. Compositions and modern day Electronica. Starting off the show with "Moonlight Sonata", you automatically know this is going to be an amazing performance. The musicians are extremely talented individuals, forming as one for this brilliant concept. They reconstruct original Classical music by the legends Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, and many more into some of the most infectious, addictive versions I have ever heard. Instruments include synthesizers, electric guitar, saxophone, computers, a 24-piece string orchestra, accompanied by vocalists and even a DJ! The energy contained within this film is breath taking, it makes you wish you could have been there nodding along with them! The sound quality and camera angles are done to perfection. There is a hint of Psychedelic camera work when they change certain angles and sounds...Some cool Eye candy! "Pacifica" is transformed into a driving upbeat Techno rhythm with an amazing female vocalist, everyone on the stage is very confident in their art! I am very impressed by this production...I know I will be watching this over and over and showing all of my music addicted friends! I highly recommend this DVD to all music fans, from supporters of every angle...You will not want to miss this, it is one of the most interesting films to have entered my DVD player!
